Bryan Burnell Hinton

Bryan Burnell Hinton passed away on August 27, 2021. He was born to Burt and Margie Hinton on January 13, 1960 in San Antonio, Texas. Bryan graduated from John Marshall High School in 1978. He attended St. Phillips College and proudly worked as a Civil Service Engineer at Fort Sam Houston for more than thirty years and subsequently, Lackland Air Force Base for the remainder of his career until his death. He received his 40-year pin from General Caroline Miller, which was presented posthumously on September 16th.

On April 13, 1979, he had his first date with his lifelong love, wife Stephanie. Their love was unending and the 42 years they spent together were far too short. He was an outstanding father to his only daughter Christi. He always stressed to her the importance of education, having a strong work ethic, enjoying life, being a good person, and loving family the most.

Bryan wanted nothing more than to retire, travel to beautiful places, and be surrounded by his family. If you knew Bryan, you loved him and enjoyed his good-natured personality. He was known for his playful jokes, and it was often hard to know is he was being serious until he broke out in a laugh or smile. Bryan valued spending time with his family during the holidays and ensued he was the center of attention. He loved classic rock music, enjoyed having fun at concerts, watching old TV shows, and going on many dates with his wife.

Bryan leaves behind a legacy of love and humor, and his perfect smile will be forever missed. Until we meet him again, our lives will feel incomplete. His family is thankful for the warm memories he gave throughout his 61 years. May his memories bring us comfort and a smile while we grieve his loss.

He is preceded in death by his father, Burt Hinton. He is survived by his mother Margie, wife Stephanie, his daughter and son-in-law Christi and Ray Miller, his only wonderful grandson, Joshua Zirkle, his sister Linda Ramzinski, and two nephews, Kevin and Garett. He also leaves behind the many friends he made throughout his career in Civil Service.
