Billie Frances Burns Shepard, died February 11, 2012 at the age of 85 thanking God for each year she enjoyed. She was born on July 7, 1926 in Mart, TX to Mabyl & Frank Burns and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1943. Billie was a Master Gardener, avid world traveler and a dedicated volunteer at local libraries, the Waterford Retirement facility and Northern Hills Homeowners Association.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband, LTC Irvin Shepard, U.S. Army (ret.); parents; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Clarke.
She is survived by her sons, Terry Clarke & Chris Clarke; and granddaughter, Lauren Clarke.
The Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m., February 16, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will take place at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the San Antonio Animal Defense League.
