Bernice Nell Tassos

Our beloved Bernice Nell Kohleffel Tassos, 96, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2024, one month shy of her 97th birthday, in New Braunfels, Texas. Born in Karnes City, Texas she is preceded in death by her parents; William and Hilda, her husband George and her three sisters Leona, Mandy and Verna Lee.

She is survived by her daughter, Georgia Ann (Paul) Tadlock, granddaughter Courtney Ann (Mike) DeLee, great-granddaughter Kaitlyn Ann (Eric) Rodriguez and great-great grandson Santana Michael and numerous nieces & nephews and friends who adored her!

She was independent, vibrant and feisty until her last breath. She loved with every ounce of her being, took care of anyone who crossed her path and fed you even if you weren’t hungry! She taught her “girls” to always remember who they were and to not call her if they got in trouble! She loved her tv shows, talking on the phone, watching the birds around her bird houses and planting her flowers. Her strong faith and love for Jesus Christ was felt just being near her. She will be greatly missed and remembered forever. A special thank you to Briggs Family Medicine, Dana Mills, Katarina, Reyna and Mia for all the love and compassion in caring for her.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 2:30 pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Hwy. San Antonio, Texas, with a prayer service graveside to immediately follow.
