Benford Morris Rushing born April 9, 1924 in Stewart, MS, passed away peacefully at home on June 1, 2014 at the age of 90. His quick wit and ability to make others laugh and his inspirational, positive attitude, always delivered the clear message that he loved life and never had a bad day. He served in the United States Army for 24 years, which included 13 in Germany. Upon his return he worked at the Federal Reserve Bank for a number of years, then continued to work in security for another bank.
Morris is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Arlene Carle; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family requests donations be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church or Carl Farley’s Boys Ranch.
