Barbara James Young passed away at the age of 85 in San Antonio, TX on November 25, 2021. She was born on May 31, 1936 to Cecil and Florene James in Joplin Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother: Timothy James; Former Husband: Lt Col: Robert Lewis Young.
She is survived by her brother: Thomas James; children: Elisabeth Green; Jennifer Foster (Phil); grandchildren: Ashley (Trevor), Abigail, Nicholas, Grace; great-grandchildren: Heidi, Broderick, Lennon, Chlöe, Harper; cousin: Karen Murray Linton.
Barbara spent her career as an educator and school psychologist making a positive impact on the lives of many. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 6:30pm at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home.
