Armando Reyes

Armando Reyes, born on January 18, 1933, peacefully entered into his new life on Thursday, March 22, 2012. He joined the love of his life, his wife of 50 years, Martha Reyes, his beloved parents, Sofia and Manuel Reyes and his sister Nellie Reyes Lunsford.

Mr. Reyes is survived by his children, Donna J. DelaRosa and husband Eduardo DelaRosa; Jesse M. Reyes, Ruben Reyes and wife, Connie; Rene Reyes; and Juliet Reyes Rodriguez and husband Eddie Ray Rodriguez.

Grandchildren, Joseph Flores, Jessica Flores, Derek Reyes, Julia Rodriguez, Eddie Rodriguez, Jude Rodriguez and Jordan Rodriguez; Great –grandchildren, Christian Flores and Gabriella Cruz.

He is also survived by his sister Rachel Chapa and husband Roy Chapa and numerous nieces and nephews.

M. Reyes served his country in the Air Force and then worked 37 years at Fort Sam Houston BAMC as a hospital cook. After retirement he worked another 15 years at the Army Residence Retirement Community.

Daddy, thank you so much for all you did for Momma and our family.

You were always my big, strong, handsome Daddy…always there when I or anyone

else needed you. I know you are surrounded by the love and peace you always longed for.

Knowing you are with Mommy brings me comfort. I love and remain devoted to you, always. Julie.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday April 3, 2012 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. followed by a 7:00 p.m. Rosary that same evening. A Procession will depart from the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday April 4, 2012 for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 125 W. Whittier. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.3.
