AnnaBelle Corbin Jenkins passed away peacefully with dignity on October 11, 2016. She was with family when she passed. She lived a life filled with passionate laughter and love for her family. AnnaBelle was born in Washington DC to Edith and Charles Corbin, both of who are now deceased. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Kearney, and her second husband, Colonel Wilbur Gibson Jenkins, Jr. She is survived by her older brother, Charles Corbin, her 5 children-Christine Kearney, Kevin Kearney, Thomas Kearney, Tanya Strauss, and Andrew Jenkins, her 12 grandchildren, and finally her 9 great-grandchildren. AnnaBelle was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who bestowed the gift of laughter and the drive to overcome all obstacles. She was the embodiment of grace and strength with her larger-than-life personality, humor, and ever-present smile.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (1701 Austin Hwy) on Sunday, October 23rd, 2016 from 5 pm to 9 pm. Rosary will be at 7 pm.
Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church (102 Lorenz Road) at 12 pm. She will be laid to rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd.) at 1:30 pm. Reception following the funeral at Stonewerks Big Rock Grille at Lincoln Heights, Broadway at Basse Rd., San Antonio Texas 78209.
