Andrew Ruiz

Andrew was born on November 30, 1921 in Enid, Oklahoma. Andrew loved carpentry and worked at Union Stockyards in San Antonio for 25 years. On May 30, 1965 he was happily married to Cecilia Guerrero. They both enjoyed life, but the most important thing to them was their family. Whether it was birthday party or a wedding, they were there was a family. On November 8, 1995, Cecilia passed away peacefully at home.

Andrew is survived by his two children Joe Ruiz and Andrea R. Martinez, her husband Michael A. Martinez, and his only two grand-daughters- Abigail and Michelle Martinez. Andrew was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend to all. Andrew was always there to help family and friends with carpentry projector whatever else they needed help with. From building playhouses to sheds was his passion, keeping busy and enjoying everything he did.

Visitation will be held at Del Angel-Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. San Antonio on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 5:00p.m.

Rosary will be held at Del Angel-Trevino Funeral Home on Thursday, March 2 at 7:00p.m. On Friday, March 3, departing the funeral home at 9:30, mass will be recited at 10:00a.m. at St. Gabriel Church, 747 S. W. 39th St, San Antonio. Followed by the burial at San Fernando Cemetery No. 2. The family would like to extend their great appreciation to Dr. Lisa Skabelund and her staff at WellMed Clinic at Crockett Park. Also Trinity Hospice and their staff for the love and care they gave to our dad.
