Masterpieces are often contemplated, admired, reflected upon, and cherished for eternity. These larger than life and immortal objects, masterfully designed by the hand of god, molded from clay, painted on canvas, carved and crafted, in stone, and captured on film all conceived by careful consideration and masterful manipulation by the hand of man. On March 13, 2011, a living masterpiece was lost to this world. A timeless work of art to be admired, loved, and cherished forever. Andree, born in Thuin, Belgium to Samuel Leroy and Alice Lanser, was raised in Binche, Belgium during WWII and journeyed to the US as a war bride with United States Army Officer Morton W. Kimball. She raised two sons during her husband’s military tenure, and finally settled in San Antonio, Texas. She loved history, travel, films, which she called her treasures, cherished animals, and most of all her family and it’s tradition. She often travelled home and vacationed throughout Europe on many occasions. Andree demonstrated and instilled to all a lust of knowledge, a sense of humor for life’s offerings and adventures, and to always seek the worlds simplest and finest treasures anywhere.
A descendant of kings, queens, and of military grandeur, she lived her life in royal fashion with a curious interest in, and a love for life.
“Plus Oultre”, chere Mama.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Morton W. Kimball, and her loving son, Bruce R. Kimball.
Andree is survived by her son Marc Kimball and his wife Terry Kimball, along with many friends in Texas and family in Belgium.
