SMSgt. Allan L. Torrey, USAF Retired,83, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013. He was born in Fredonia, NY on December 16, 1929 to Harley W. & Alvira H. Ells Torrey. Mr. Torrey was preceded in death by his step-son, Charlie Herron and his siblings, Marion, Alice, Leola, Howard and Donald.He is survived by his wife, Dena Torrey; children, Cynthia Ford, Susan Beiderman, Barbara Capps, Janet Tovar, Billy Torrey and James Torrey; his sister, Lucille and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. The visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be; Billy Beiderman, Mike Capps, Matthew Capps, Christopher Torrey, Brian Torrey, Joshua Torrey, Caleb Torrey, Nathaniel Herron, Michael Herron and Marshal Herron. The interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the Alzheimer's Foundation or to St. Jude's Children Hospital in Tennessee.
