Alberto Gutierrez blessed our earth with his presence for ninety years. He was born on October 29, 1924, and embarked on his heavenly journey to join the Lord at 7:20pm on Thursday, September 3, 2015. He was surrounded by his beloved family at the time of his final breath. He lived in San Antonio, Texas, and is remembered as being caring, compassionate, and humorous. During his career, he served our military bases as a contractor for Gell Service Company until retirement in 1978. “Popo” enjoyed fishing, hunting, gambling, and visiting family. He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Anita; sons, Alberto Jr. and Andrew; daughter, Mary Rojas. He is survived by 21 descendants: 2 children, Alberto Gutierrez, Jr. (Dora), Daisy Rosales, and son-in-law, Roberto Rojas; 6 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Loved ones are invited to celebrate his life. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 5:00 pm, followed by the rosary at 7:00 pm at Trevino Funeral Home. Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, followed by internment at San Fernando Cemetery # 2.
