Aaron Jonas Cruz, age 34, passed away April 10, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on July 29, 1986 in San Antonio, Texas. Aaron Jonas Cruz was our first born, his birth gave a new meaning to our lives. As he grew to become a young man, we recognized he was a very caring person with a huge heart and sense of humor. He felt things very deeply and always wanted to help other people. He enjoyed sports, especially hockey, music and traveling. He was also a deep thinker who read many books and enjoyed documentaries. Aaron will always be remembered as a Maverick who lived his life on his terms. Aaron, you are missed tremendously, there is a huge void in our lives that will be impossible to fill.

He is survived by his parents, Carlos and Sandra Cruz; brothers, Kevin Cruz and wife Chelsea, Travis Cruz; grandparents, Hermilo Cruz, Mary D. Cruz, Mary M. Cruz, Isaias Zambrano, Sylvia Zambrano, Irma Foley, Steve Foley; nephews Jeremy Cruz and Kai Cruz.
Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. The funeral procession will depart Sunset Northwest Funeral Home at 9:30 A.M. Friday, April 23, 2021 for a 10:00 A.M. funeral mass at St. Brigid Catholic church, 6907 Kitchener Street, San Antonio, Texas 78240 with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
