Roy Ivan White, age 94, of Texas passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022. Roy was born July 5, 1927 on a farm 11 miles from Levant, Kansas to Celia Severns White and Harry M. White. He grew up farming with his family and graduated from Colby High in Colby, Kansas, in 1945. One week after graduation, he departed for the United States Navy where he served on the USS South Dakota Battleship BB57. On November 3, 1946, he married the love of his life, Geraldine Fae (Cook) White.
Roy was a car salesman for Burt Chevrolet in Denver, CO for 32 years, but was always a farmer at heart. In 1991, they moved to San Angelo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Geraldine White; his son, Roy Ivan White, Jr., and his brother, Robert White. Roy is survived by his son Steven Allyn White as well as other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Roy will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home, 435 West Beauregard Avenue, San Angelo, Texas.
