Ms. Rosa Jasso Trevino, 90, of San Angelo, was greeted into Heaven on January 8, 2023. She was born September 4, 1932 in San Angelo, Texas to Francisco and Virginia Jasso. She was married to the late Arcadio L Trevino Sr. for 25 beautiful years.
Rosa worked for over 27 years in housekeeping and as a cook. She worked for several companies around San Angelo including: Troy Laundry, Tasty Sandwich Company, Central High School Cafeteria, and White Clinic that is now known as San Angelo Community Hospital. She had many jobs, but her true calling was to be with ALL her grandchildren. She was a loving, caring, but strict “wela” to all who entered her home. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed keeping up with her favorite novellas. She was the heart of our family and will be forever missed.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Virginia Jasso; her brother, Joe Torres; her brother, Richard (Annie) Torres; her brother, Manuel (Simona) Jasso; her sister, Cipriana Sanchez; her sister, Ascension Jasso, her daughter, Gloria Trevino, and daughter-in-law Mary Trevino.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Natividad Samora; her four daughters, Beatrice Trejo, Ernestina (Robert) Rivas, Mary Ellen Ovalle, and Rosario (Richard) Aguero, all of San Angelo; her only son, Arcadio Trevino Jr, of Beeville; one brother-in-law, Isador Sanchez; 18 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will include Luis Perez, Andrew Rodriguez, Esteban Trejo, Mark Trevino, Arcadio Trevino III, David Banda, Felix Rodriguez Jr, and Daniel Trevino.
Honorary pallbearers are Amy Banda, Linda Lopez, Michelle Oberson, Stephanie Trejo, Gloria Trevino, Maria Ramirez, Dolly Trevino, Angela Franklin and Tina Ann Esquivel.
A prayer service for Rosa will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 6:00 PM in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. Her funeral service will occur Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with Nick A. Comacho officiating. Rosa will be laid to rest in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
