Robert Aranda Martinez, 57, of San Angelo, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021. He was born on May 17, 1964 in San Angelo, TX to Daniel G. and Elizabeth A. Martinez. Robert attended Baptist Temple School and graduated in the class of 1983. He began his career in catering, working for The Holiday Inn, then Chartwells as a Catering Manager. Robert married Linda Brashear on December 8, 1990 and had 2 children and 2 grandsons he raised as his own. He was a proud member of Ft. Concho Infantry 16th Memorial V and ASU Ram Club. Robert had a passion for the Dallas Cowboys, WWE Wrestling and ASU Sports, he will always be remembered for his profound sense of humor and love for the Dallas Cowboys. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Daniel G. Martinez and Elizabeth A. Martinez and his mother-in-law Juanice Brashear. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Linda M. Martinez, his father-in-law Frances Brashear, his brothers Daniel Martinez, Juventino Martinez (Moni), Adam Martinez and Roland Martinez, his sister Janet Cuellar, his children Bridget Martinez and Candice Martinez, his grandchildren Madison Ethridge, Seth Ethridge, Robert Watson and Cambren Watson Martinez and his nieces and nephews, Johnathon Martinez, Casandra Robinson, Amber Cuellar, Elizabeth Cuellar, Kristina Martinez, Daniel Martinez, Pablo Sosa, Antonio Martinez, Elaura Schultz, Erika Sosa, Megan Martinez, Anjellika Martinez, Jacob Martinez and Gabriel Cuellar. A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Harris Avenue Baptist Church with interment to follow in Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tino Martinez, Adam Martinez, Roland Martinez, David Allen, Antonio Martinez and Will Robinson, honorary pallbearer will be Daniel Martinez. The family would like to thank Johnson’s Funeral Home and Harris Avenue Baptist Church. Donations may be made to Johnson’s Funeral Home in Roberts name.
