Mickey had a passion for photography, especially nature subjects like wildlife and scenic scapes that were often published in the local newspaper. This started while in the service and continued until his death.
He also pursued square dancing with the vigor and vitality that was his nature and traveled to local and distant square dance festivals as far away as Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Indeed, he was attending a square dance event in San Antonio where he passed from this life.
He and Rosalie undertook to rescue and provide shelter to any roving creature that sought a home.
He will be interred at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens where a graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 2 PM in the care of Johnson's Funeral Home.
