Martha Helen Upshaw

Martha Helen Upshaw, 79, of San Angelo went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2014 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Randy Bush of Harris Avenue Baptist Church will officiate.

Martha was a nurse’s aide from Community Hospital until her retirement.

Martha married Allen C. Upshaw on July 14, 1957; he preceded her in death on August 23, 1990.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Van Zandt, of San Angelo, her son Charles “Gene” Upshaw of Austin, her son James and Alice Upshaw of Canton, South Dakota; her granddaughter Jennifer and Gerry Morgan of Stockdale, Texas; her grandson Michael Wayne and Brittany Van Zandt of McCamey, Texas; her granddaughter Megan Upshaw of Roanoke, Virginia, her step grandsons Robert and Niclas Pfeifer of Canton, South Dakota; her great grandsons Dustin, Christopher, Chas, Zander and Nicolie`; her sister Dixie Sloan of San Angelo, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Her sons Charles “Gene Upshaw and James Upshaw, and her grandsons Michael Van Zandt and Gerry Morgan.
