Manuel was born on May 10, 1938 to Manuel Sr. and Francisca Samaniego. Papi worked as a mechanic, welder, cook, and owned his own small business for many, many years. He loved his family - his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren – and would give them his all. Papi also loved Westerns, gardening, and his Dr. Pepper. He was a very loving, happy man who was always kind and respectful to anyone he met.

Papi also leaves behind his sisters, Maria Samaniego Juarez and husband Gilbert of San Angelo, TX, and Olivia Samaniego Gomez and husband Perfecto Jr.; grandchildren, Lewis, Julie, Edward, Gilbert, Eric, Connie, George, Jessica, L. J., Jeremiah, Emmanuel, and Kimberly; great-grandchildren, Edward, Tyrone, Phillip, Tyrese, Matthew, Mikah, Jayden, Elijah, Joshua, Amina, Karma, Ryland, Lester, Isaiah, Josiah, Mysael, Isabella, Nathan, Caleb, and Abigail; great-great-grandchildren, Ryland Jr., Ayla, Gabrielle, and Lorenzo; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
