Lupe "Lupio" Reyna Gutierrez

Lupe “Lupio” Reyna Gutierrez of San Angelo passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. He was born on January 28, 1938 in Karnes City, Texas to Ysidra & Ynes Gutierrez. Lupio was married to Petra Gutierrez on July 25, 2009. He worked in body repair for over 30 years with Jim Bass Ford. In his early years, Lupio taught many young men, including all of his sons, the basic skills of boxing training & competition at the Southside Recreation Center. His lifelong hobby was golf. He was a skilled golfer, achieving the status of a scratch golfer. He enjoyed the comradery with his compadres “friends” most of all. His true passion was for his family & his pet Rita. His love & spirit will be truly missed. He is survived by is wife Petra Gutierrez, son Dicky, wife Randi & daughter Marinna, son Raymond & daughters Miranda Saldivar, Alena Gutierrez, Monica Gutierrez, his daughter Cindy Montgomery, husband John & daughter Emilyn, stepchildren AJ Morales, Nito, JP & Gina Zapata and all of their children, Siblings Juan, Santos, Gloria Padilla, George, Carol Lopez, Edward and Ray and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ysidra & Ynes, his son Robert, brothers Renulfo, Ricky & Jesse and sister Estella. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, as a come and go from 8am – 8 pm at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 am at Johnson Funeral Home. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers, to consider a donation to the American Diabetes Association. Pallbearers for his service will be George “Tater” Garcia, Roger Lopez, Tony Lopez, Jesse Gutierrez, Tony Flores Jr, Carlos Jaime.
