Jose Gonzalez Castillo

Jose Gonzalez Castillo of San Angelo, TX passed away January 10, 2024. He was born on December 18, 1945 in El Carrizalito Lagunillas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Antonio Castillo and Fortunata Gonzalez. Jose never attended school, but instead started working at the age of 8 years old working the fields. He married the love of his life Anabelle Perez Castillo on September 25, 1972 and had 5 beautiful children. Jose was a full time evangelist whose ministry encouraged and saved many. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Anabelle Perez Castillo, his siblings Eugenio Castillo and Homogona Castillo Gonzalez, his children Melissa Castillo, Marisela Castillo and James Louis Reynolds, Jose Jr. and Angelica Castillo, Sarah Nellie Hernandez, Graviela Castillo and Francisco Jose Garfias, Jr., Veronica and Jaime Jimenez, grandchildren Jonathan Elias Castillo, Clarissa and John Johnson, Roemello Jamal and Alexandra Nicole Jackson, Brianna Latrice and Elijah Rashad Greenwood, Vanessa Denae Spencer, Gabriella Victoria, Jose Roberto, Alina Isabelle and Victoria Isabelle Castillo, Jean and Megan Castro, Ana Gabriel Castro, Marisol Garces, Lorena Josephine and Angelica Anabel Guajardo, Adriana Jimenez, Adrian Joe, Annaleah Marie and Angelina Renee Garfias, Marcos Adolph and Yuvia Yvonne Palacio, great grandchildren Jedidiah Elisha, Janiya Elise and Jay Josiah Johnson, Roemello Jamal Jr. and Roman Rashad Jackson, Carlosray Duron Castro, Elliot Samuel Uranga, Lilliana Videl Parker, Zamorah Jhene Robles, Elaina Amaria Johnson, Emorella Ann Josephine Hodges, Mateo Jose Luis and Marisela Rose Reza and Khalil Cayson Palacio-Smith and many nieces and nephews. Viewing will begin Monday, January 15th at 8:00 a.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16th in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 17th in Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jose Castillo, Jr., Roemello Jamal Jackson, Elijah Rashad Greenwood, Francisco Jose Garfias, Jr., Martin Perez and Ricky Perez.
