John Richard Warriner passed away peacefully with loving family at his side on Friday, July 30, 2021. He went to be with his Lord at age 85. He was born August 14, 1935 in Texon, Texas and is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Tina Warriner, two brothers, Gene and Don Warriner, and two sisters, Virginia (Sissie) and Lucille, and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Tyler.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jeanne Warriner. He is lovingly remembered by three sons, Doug and wife Cheri, Eddie and wife Peggy, Terry and wife Donna; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and one on the way, many loving nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
Richard was the owner of Richards Body shop in Big Lake, Texas and was known to be an excellent guitarist. He grew up in Texon, Texas. Richard loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed being with family.
He will be greatly missed.
Service are 10 am Wednesday, August 4th at the First Baptist Church of Big Lake, with burial to follow in Glen Rest Cemetery. There will be open visitation on Monday from noon to 8 pm and all day Tuesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home in San Angelo.
