She was born on November 25, 1932 in Hamlin, Texas to Thurston and Era Havens. Floy attended Hamlin High School and graduated in the class of 1949. After graduation, she began her career as a seamstress for Levi's. Floy retired as a supervisor from the company after 36 years. Floy married Bill Lumbley on June 9, 1951 and the couple had 2 children.
Floy will always be remembered for her love of sewing, porcelain doll making, and cake baking. Above all, she will be remembered for the love she had for her family and getting everyone together every chance she got.
Floy was preceded in death by her parents, Thurston and Era Havens; husband, William Lumbley; daughter Bobbie Haddock and husband Hollis; grandchildren, William Haddock and Brandon Pippin; niece, Jimmie Raines; and numerous siblings.
Left to cherish Floy's memory are her daughter Lisa Pippin; grandchildren, Timothy Raines, Kimberlee Marcinko, Daniel Haddock, Calvin Pippin, and Jessica Duke. Also left are great-grandchildren, Leaann Haddock, Emalee Marcinko, Lillee Marcinko, Kahlee Marcinko, Kendell Pippin, Jaron Pippin, Georgia Rae Pippin, Danika Raines, Cayson Raines, Aylssa Hughes, William Duke, Nyomi Duke, Brett Ferguson, Bria Ferguson, Bradyn Ferguson, Aviona Ferguson; and nieces and nephews, Tommy Wood, Sandy Williams, Waylon Wood, and James Worthy.
A visitation for Floy will be held Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home, 435 West Beauregard, San Angelo, TX 76903. A funeral service will occur Monday, October 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Johnson's Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Hill officiating.
Serving as pallbearers are Calvin Pippin, Matthew Duke, Timothy Raines, Cayson Raines, Brent Ferguson, and Willie Fincher. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Tommy Wood, Waylon Wood, and Daniel Haddock.
