Born on January 5, 1935, Dolores was the daughter of the late Norberto and Maria Robles. She married the love of her life the late Eugene Lopez on November 8, 1953.
Dolores had a passion for cooking, quilting, gardening, and crafting, which she shared with her family and friends. She was known for her delicious meals and beautiful handmade quilts. Dolores also had a green thumb and took great pride in her garden, where she grew an abundance of flowers and vegetables. She was a creative and talented woman, always finding joy in creating beautiful crafts to decorate her home.
Dolores dedicated her life to educating young minds as a preschool teacher. She worked at San Angelo Day Nursery for 37 years. She had a natural way with children and was loved by all her students. Her patience, kindness, and nurturing nature made a lasting impact on the lives of those she taught. Dolores was a role model and mentor to many, and her legacy will continue to live on through the lives of her students
Dolores is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Montez (George) and Eva Yolanda Echavarria (Jesse). Granddaughters Valerie Montez, Jessicia Echavarria, April Castro, and Debbie Hernandez. Her great grandchildren John Paul Castillo, Lilliana Castillo, Izen Castro,Jesse Castro, and Daniel Lucero
Pallbearers will be John Paul Castillo, John Paul Castillo Jr, Diego Castro, Izen Castro, Jesse Castro and Daniel Lucero
A prayer service will be held Thursday November 30, 2023 at 7:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Chapel. A celebration of life service will occur Friday December 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Johnson's Funeral Chapel. Dolores will be laid to rest in Lawnhaven Cemetery.
