Visitation will be on Sunday, Feb 6 from 3pm-5pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be at 2pm on Monday, Feb 7 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Charlie was born on Feb 26, 1941, in Arkansas City, KS. He married the love of his life, Linda R. Boxley, on June 2, 1962. He proudly served his country in the US Navy for four years and the US Air Force for 16 years. He also had a career with GTE. He was a member of the VFW of Arkansas City, KS, after serving in Viet Nam; and he was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Odessa Chapter. He was a loving husband, a hugely supportive father and grandfather, and a loved friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, and mother of his children, Linda Fry; his parents Selma and Harry Fry; his brothers, Robert and Donald Fry; his sister-in-law, Renne Soutter; his niece, Misty Trueblood; and, wife Donna Fry.
Charlie is survived by his children, Charles L. Fry (Cedar Park), Gary D. Fry (San Angelo) and Leslie R. Lasater (San Angelo); also, his son-in-law, Lorenzo Lasater; daughter-in-law, Toni Fry; and, Sabrina Burnett; his brothers, Floyd Fry and Lloyd Fry (both of Arkansas City, KS); his brother-in-law, Kenny Soutter; his grandchildren, Ethan Fry and Emily Fry (Cedar Park), Watt Lasater and Beau Lasater (San Angelo); Jerimie Fry of Abilene; and Tanner Burnett and Cami Cain (both of Cedar Park); his 10 nieces and 4 nephews.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Hospice of San Angelo or to a favorite charity.
