At age four, we moved to Salt Lake. I graduated from South High School in 1941. My first job was with Western Union, delivering telegrams to Salt Lake City businesses. I worked as a dispatcher for South East Furniture for 10 years and for the Paris Co. for 8 years. I worked for Salt Lake Valley Health Department for 18 years. My extended family, they were the greatest ever. Married LeGrand D. Iverson, November 14, 1942, later divorced. I married my sweetheart and best friend- Art Cornish on April 2, 1993. He passed away from cancer in 2000.
I was blessed with five wonderful sons who are everything to me, Russ (Jill) Iverson, Randy Iverson, Dennis (Shirley) Iverson, Stephen (LaRaine) Iverson and Michael (Beverly) Iverson. At last count I have 10 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. One brother, Ron (Darleen) Coleman, Moorpark, CA, three special nieces, DeRene’ (Dennis) Holm, Jerrie (Jon) Wittberger, Naples, FL, and LuRae (Milt) Henderson, Etowa, NC. Two very special (adopted) daughters, Annie (Rea) Nielsen, Midvale, UT and Jennie (Roger) Bennett, Salt Lake City, UT and my special neighbor Rick Ford, who was always there when needed.
Preceded in death by my parents and my sisters, Rae Jensen and LaVerne Walton, as well as one brother Bill Malyneuf and three great-grandchildren.
