She is survived by her sister, Elisa Frank Nichols of Scottsdale, AZ; her children, Jacqueline Madsen (Gary) of Salt Lake City, UT, Jillaine Owens of Tallahassee FL, Beth Owens DeSantis (Michael) of Mahopac, NY, and Rod Owens (Kelly) of Cape Cod, MA; her grandchildren, Bart DeBuono, Bobbi DeBuono Falco, Emily DeSantis, Elizabeth Owens Pavao, Mark Owens, Dylan Owens, and Kaitlin Owens; and her great-grandson Samuel Owens.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) H. Owens, and grandson, Christian David.
As a community volunteer, Elaine served as an advisory board member for Caring Connections, a grief support group associated with the University of Utah and was also a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.).
She and her husband, Bob, were members at Willow Creek Country Club where they enjoyed playing golf and league bowling.
Elaine's passion was spending time with her friends. Together they enjoyed amphitheaters in Sandy and St. George, Utah, as well as musical plays and symphonies. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on July 14th, 2 p.m., at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, Millcreek, UT, followed by a graveside service on July 16th, 9 a.m., at Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery, Las Vegas, NV. Elaine will be laid to rest alongside her beloved Bob.
