DAISY O'GORMAN ROBERTS
Daisy was born on March 21, 1921 in York, England to Patrick O'Gorman and Violet Bellwood.
Her parents named her Daisy to celebrate the first day of Spring. We will think of her each time we see this lovely flower.
She married her sweetheart Wilfred before he was shipped off to war. Their daughter Valerie was born in 1941. They joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1949 and they were sealed in 1958 in London's newly dedicated temple. Three sons were added to their family and immigrated with Daisy and Wilfred to Sandy, Utah in 1965.
Daisy cherished her church membership and served faithfully as a Relief Society President, and as teachers in Sunday School and Primary Organizations. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, letter writing and Genealogy but her real passion was being a wife, mother and grandmother.
Daisy died on January 14th, in Bountiful. She is survived by her husband Wilfred, her brothers Stanley and Albert of Yorkshire, England; daughter Valerie Lett (Ken) Orinda, CA; sons Neil, Christopher and Glyn, Salt Lake City; grandchildren: Nicholas, Philip and Vanessa Lett, Orinda, CA; Derek and Braxton Roberts, Utah; and 5 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 24, 11 a.m. Parleys 5th Ward, 2615 E. Stringham Ave., visitation at 10 a.m. Interment and dedication of the grave by Bishop Matthew Wirthlin will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, SLC.
