James "Ronnie" R. Lewis

James R. “Ronnie” Lewis, 77, of Eden passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at TidalHealth in Salisbury. Born July 30, 1945 he was the son of the late Corbett and Ada Lewis of Willards. Ronnie worked in construction and owned Lewis Contracting. He enjoyed raising animals and working in the greenhouses.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marillyn Lewis; four children, Tamara Johnson, Ronald Lewis and his wife Heather, Tiffany Bloodsworth, and Tara Wampler and her husband Todd; ten grandchildren, Kyle Shrieves, Kristi Johnson, Michael Lewis, Shelby Lewis, Ryan Lewis, Alexis Robinson, Michael Bloodsworth, Daniel Lewis, Hunter Wolske, and Caleb Wolske; two great-grandchildren, Aiden Bloodsworth and Emma Bloodsworth; sister, Irene Shockley and her husband Herbert; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Roland, Norman, Milton and Harris Lewis; and sisters, Thelma Timmons and Louise Phillips.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11am at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
