Helen ‘Linda’ Rose, of Milton, DE and formerly from Jackson, NJ passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 with her loving husband Fred by her side. Born May 13, 1943 in Passaic, NJ she was the daughter of the late Bud and Frances Daniels.
Linda graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Linda always had the desire to work and take care of elderly people. She pursued her Master’s Degree in Geriatric Care from Rutgers University in 1992. She started her Medical Field at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital as Director of Nursing and Director of Medical/Surgical Nursing; Paul’s Run Retirement Community as Administration Director of Patient Care, Forrestal Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as Administrator, Director Patient Care Services, and Springpoint Senior Living as Vice President-Health Services in 2000-2022.
Some of Linda’s achievements are as follows along with several other accolades too numerous to mention: Graduated Magna Cun Lauda (4.0 GPA), Ellen Stonsby Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement, Phi Theta Kappa, Sigma Theta Tau, Key note Speaker engagements around the nation from End of life, Life to Pharmacology in the Elderly among numerous other topics.
On May 17, 2015 The State of New Jersey, Senate and General Assembly presented Giving Back, Stepping Forward Award by The Wonderful Women Working for Empowerment. Linda received WHO’S WHO in America in 2021-2022 from Marquis Publication Board.
In her off season she enjoyed walking 2.5 miles every morning with her husband Fred. She played tennis a few times a week, and bowled in two different leagues.
She is survived by her husband, Fred, married 25 years, and her sister Diana Minor. Her daughter Stephanie, sons Jason and Rick. She was preceded in death by daughter Amanda. Grandchildren Lindsey, Stephanie, Alex, Lorraine, Kyla, Maya, Saffron, Easton, Quinn, Ryder, Jack, and Luke. Great-grandchildren Liam, Madeline, Lincoln, Odin.
Linda was a very successful and loved individual. She will always be remembered for her life of service and her generosity to friends and family.
Prior to Mass will be receiving guests from 9:30-10:45am with immediate family. Mass service will follow at 11:00am at St. Aloysius on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
