Eugene “Gene” Ernest Parker, Sr., 86, of Parsonsburg passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2021 at TidalHealth in Salisbury. Born November 19, 1935 he was the son of the late Norman Ernest Parker and Mattie Priscilla Jones

He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, DPI, Farm Bureau, and Zion United Methodist Men.

He is survived by son, Ernie Parker and wife Robin Jones Parker; three grandchildren, Joshua T. Parker and his wife, Loni, Justin E. Parker, and Christopher L. Robinson and wife Jamie; one great-grandson, Tyler C. Robinson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 57 years, Betty S. Parker in 2017 and a brother, William Wesley Parker.

Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Gene to Parsonsburg Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 208, Parsonsburg, MD 21849.
