Patricia Ann (Sebastian) Graber

She was born in Glendale California to Howard R. Sebastian and Florence Mae (Kriske) Sebastian on December 26, 1927.

She graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in 1945. Moving to Salem in 1946 she graduated from Willamette University with a BA in psychology in 1950. Upon graduating she immediately was hired at Portland General Electric where she worked for the next 10 years.

In 1960 she married Glenn Ray Graber of Salem Oregon and Alsen, North Dakota. Starting her family with having son Lance in 1962 and daughter Shawn in 1967 she was content with being a loving mother.

In 1981 she began work at McKay High School. Continuing to work for the school district she obtained an evening job at Meier & Frank which she enjoyed. In 1989 she started working at Globe Investigations. In 1994 she took three years off to care for Glenn. In 1997 at age 70 she went back to work with Lance in the Family Insurance Agency where she enjoyed many years of meaningful relationships with her customers, retiring in 2013 at age 85.

Pat enjoyed reading, she loved a great mystery. She loved visiting with her grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed shopping, crafting and was famous for her excellent potato salad. She collected beanie babies for years and they put a smile on her face when she found a new one that she didn’t have.

Pat loved her family dearly and was dearly loved. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 37 years Glenn Ray Graber and her first grandchild Nicholas Ray Thompson.

She is survived by son Lance D. Graber and his wife Teresa, daughter Shawn M. Wiedeman and her husband David. She is also survived by her six grandchildren. Cameron Thompson, Jacob Graber, Joseph Graber, Kylie Wiedeman, Emily Marsh and Spencer Wiedeman, four nephews and a close cousin.

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her in the last five years, Avamere Court and Salem Hospital.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 15th at 1 p.m. at Howell Edwards Doerksen. Located at 1350 Commercial Street SE Salem Oregon 97302.
