Let's wish Mary and Don well as they head out on another adventure!

My prayers, and hearth is with you and your family .

We will greatly miss our dear Aunt Mary and we are so deeply saddened by her passing.  Her legacy to our family is one of strength, spirit, and love.  I have such great memories of her telling us her travel adventures with Uncle Don.  I also loved her stories about our family history and ancestry. We were so glad we got to visit with her last year.  She was as witty as ever joking with my dad.   I included a great memory of Aunt Mary, Uncle Don, and Steffens/Hargrove cousins when they came to San Diego for my parent's 50th Anniversary. Aunt Mary was such an amazing, smart, and kind person and she will always have a special place in my heart.  Big hugs to my cousins and their families.  Our love, thoughts, and prayers are with all of you!    Love, Maria, Matt, Sophia, and Angela Cook

I remember  Mary Lou as living a full life of being active, outgoing, achieving, and above all happy.Mary Lou, you have left a legacy of a good size family. She was a second mom when I was in high school. She taught me many things. I do share those lessons in my life. I will miss her smile. Love and hugs.

Mary was a great sister-in-law, she always sent cards for every occasions.  At Christmas time we often received delicious fruit cake and many goodies that were home made.  She was a great cook.  We never lived by each other but over the many years we saw one another.  I remember her as a kind, creative, adventurous  person.  She lived life to the fullest even had a restaurant and small farm.  If Mary had a dream, somehow she made many of them come true. I will never forget her strong spirit. Her loving cat gave her much comfort. God Bless. Kathy and Jim Hargrove 

We are so sad to have lost Such a beautiful caring Person(Aunt Mary).I remember as a kid when we would go visit she always had lots of stories to tell and we always had so much fun. We have a lot of fond memories with her and Uncle Don as a kid and as an adult. we are so blessed to have had you in our lives. May your body now rest in peace. We Love and miss you. I was given the awesome chance to buy Mary and Dons house in Oregon. Mary was an amazingly kind person. Not only did she go out of her way to give my wife and I the opportunity to buy their home but she kept in touch, shared her knowledge of the yard, the neighbors and house. I may have only known her for a year, but Mary will always have a special place in my heart and she will be remembered every day through her home. 

My mother was inspiring to me. Her drive and determination to achieve her goals was impressive. She never forgot a birthday of her kids, grandkids or great grandkids with a card. She was fun as a kid to all the trips she took us on. 

I'm so sorry for your family's loss. We loved aunt Mary, and all her wi derful stories of her past and the Hargrove family history. I loved her curiosity and willingness to share her adventurous life. God bless her and all of you.

I am so sorry to hear this.  Many good memories of Mary and Don coming to visit the Illinois family. Many good family history visits.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Great memories of Mary and Don when we went together to St. Croix, USVI, in the summer of 2002 to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.  And the visits with them in Aurora, Colorado. 

Sorry for your loss. Aunt Mary was a kind person. She lived an incredible life. She always had a story to share. She helped me with my ancestry tree a few months back. She really loved her roots. I will always cherish the childhood memories of visiting her California farm as a kid. Aunt Mary will always hold a special place in my heart and will be missed dearly.Her little brothers son.Jimmy

I am so glad that I was able to travel with Mom last August.I will miss her very much.
