She was born on February 20, 1923, to Ben and Abby Ruth (Sinclair) Sorensen in Algona, Iowa, and graduated from Algona High School, and also earned her Bachelors degree in Home Economics from Iowa State. She was married to William Brown in 1955.
Rev. Jane worked her career serving the Lord, pastoring for New Life in Jesus Ministries. She loved to attend Stone Soup, First Christian Church, and St. Marys, to eat with the less fortunate and to pray with them. She had a passion for Jesus, the Bible, running in marathons and tri-athlons, healing and praying for the sick.
Rev. Jane is survived by her children, Suzanne Brown, Richard Brandow, Ann Eberly, William Galen Brown;brother, Ben Sorensen; 15 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
Arrangements were entrusted to Howell, Edwards, Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors.
