Idella, 86, died Monday November 21 in Salem. Born Idella Weible, August 24, 1936, in Fargo, N. Dakota, her family moved to Marion Oregon in 1952 where she graduated from Cascade High School in 1954. She briefly attended Oregon State University before marrying Donald Wipper December 20, 1955. Husband Don and eldest daughter Elisa Wipper preceded her in death in 1997. Don and Idella enjoyed spending outdoor activities with their children such as camping, boating, fishing and clamming. They also enjoyed dining out and dancing with their friends. Idella also loved sewing, gardening, painting and crafts. It was Idella's life long dream to be a teacher and she completed her teaching degree in the early 1970s. She taught grades three through eight for the Salem-Keizer School District, retiring in 1999. Idella is survived by her daughter: Connie Wipper; son: Douglas (Janelle) Wipper; grandson: Sean Wipper; brother: Eddie (Lorraine) Weible; and sister: Sharon (Harlas) Seidel.
