Colin Gail Scott “Scotty” was born in Calgary, Alberta Canada in 1922 and passed away on August 16, 2022 at the age of 99. His parents were Walter and Alma (Abbott) Scott. The family moved to Salem, Oregon in 1927. From the time Colin was young he worked odd jobs until he was drafted into the Army. After World War II He began working for Boise Cascade Paper Mill where he worked for 10 years. He also worked for Oregon Health and Science University for 28 years until he retired in 1984. He loved riding his bicycle and gardening. He is survived by his son Gale Scott, his daughter-in-law Debra Scott, 2 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The viewing for “Scotty” will be held at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Services on August 27, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has asked respectively you donate to a charity of your choosing instead. Colin Gail Scott will be laid to rest August 31, 2022 at Willamette National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
