Sandra P. Simon, of Peabody, died peacefully in her sleep on December 15, 2024 at the age of 89. She was the loving daughter of Jack and Betty (Young) Shaw, and devoted wife of 64 years to the late Stanley Simon. Sandy spent more than 20 years as a receptionist at Rosewood Nursing & Rehab where she was loved and appreciated by the patients' families. She previously worked at Sears Service Center where she used her gentle nature and kindness to resolve customer issues. The Congregation Sons of Israel Synagogue welcomed Sandy and Stanley many years ago, which led to so many close friendships that she cherished. She was actively involved and served on the Board of Directors and various committees. However, Sandy loved nothing more than spending time with her children Scott (Joanne), Gary (Amy), and Terri (Paul), her grandchildren Dan (Kristen), Katie (Albert), and Jack, and her great grandchildren Tyson, James, Owen, Teddy, Veronica and John. Everyone that knew Sandy said the same thing. She had the most positive attitude of anyone they knew. Her sudden passing surprised us, but we are all so fortunate to have had her in our lives. A funeral service will be held at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, SALEM on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Sandy's memory to Congregation Sons of Israel, P.O. Box 702, Peabody, MA 01960.
