James Saltz

James (“Jimmy”) C. Saltz, 57, of Swampscott, Massachusetts, passed away on March 8, 2023, after a long health battle with COPD. Jimmy was born on December 5, 1966, to Roberta Frost Rosenthal (nee Jepsky) and the late Robert Saltz, in Boston, Massachusetts. After Jimmy graduated from Swampscott High School in 1985, he went on to study Communications at the University of Massachusetts. After graduating from college in 1989, he lived in Arizona for many years and worked in the healthcare field. He returned home to Swampscott in his later years. Jimmy was predeceased by his father, Robert Saltz, and his sister, Amy Saltz. He is survived by his mother, Roberta Frost Rosenthal, his sister Judith Kowalczyk (nee Saltz), his brother-in-law Kyle Kowalczyk, his nephew Bryce Kowalczyk, and many other loving relatives. Jimmy was full of life and love and will be missed dearly by his friends and family. Jimmy was a beloved son to Roberta, and one of the loves of her life; Roberta and Jimmy were each other’s best friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Jimmy’s memory be made to Temple Emanu-El, 393 Atlantic Avenue in Marblehead, Massachusetts.

A private graveside service will be held for the family and Jimmy’s close friends.
