In Loving Memory of Trenton
August 31, 2004 - May 9, 2023
It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the loss of our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, Trenton William Stewart, 18, who passed away in a tragic car accident on May 9, 2023.
Trenton was born on August 31, 2004 in Denver, Colorado to parents Robert and Mandi Stewart. He grew up in St. Johns, Florida and graduated high school from Creekside High School in 2022. He was currently an outstanding student athlete at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, and also a Hatter defensive end football player. He just finished his freshman year majoring in Cybersecurity.
To say Trenton (Trent) loved football and his football family is an understatement. Trent was named to the Fall 2022 Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll and planned to return to campus this summer to work out with his Stetson brotherhood.
Trenton didn’t only love football, he loved body building, gaming, and all things sports. His favorite movie was Rocky which he watched often to remain inspired. He loved listening to music and loved his family and friends dearly. He was the absolute best son any parent could ask for.
He was preceded in death by his Uncle Troy Clifton.
Trenton is survived by his parents Robert & Mandi Stewart, sisters, Amber Stewart of Oregon, Mary Stewart of Indiana and Megan Stewart also of Indiana; maternal grandparents, Dave (Christine) Zook of Florida and Judy Zook of Indiana; paternal grandparents, Gwen Senders of Illinois and Leroy Stewart also of Illinois; aunts, Dawn (Jarvis) Bloch of Indiana, Jenna (Gerry) Wunder of Indiana; as well as 14 cousins and many, many friends and coaches he cherished.
Family will receive friends and loved ones on May 15, 2023 starting at 10am for visitation, followed by services and a celebration of life at Noon officiated by Pastor Frank Ciresi of University Church at Hardage-Giddens St Johns Chapel, 1285 St Johns Parkway, Saint Johns, Florida 32259.
A procession to the graveside service will immediately follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd Jacksonville, Florida 32207.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Trenton Stewart Scholarship Fund at https://gofund.me/6785c732. All donations will be used to support the various athletic organizations that helped shape the amazing man Trenton was and the legacy he leaves.
Please keep our family in your prayers during this difficult time.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hgstjohns.com for the Stewart family.
