David Edward Hudson

David Edward Hudson returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday the 28th of February, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Massie Hudson and Ruth Beverley Hudson. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Nancy Jean Hudson, their two children Danan Hudson (Sunny), Amyee Williams (Eric) and his 3 brothers Richard Hudson (Patty), Robert Hudson (Alberta) and Larry Hudson (Eileen). His posterity includes 6 grandchildren, Dayton, Lilliana, Dallyn, Makynzee, Landen and Saydee.

David was born in Richmond, Virginia on the 11th of September 1948. Growing up David could usually be found fishing with his Mammaw and Pop on the Chickahominy river, hunting with his father or relaxing on his bed playing folk and country songs on his guitar. David joined the US Navy in 1969 and served this nation honorably in both the Vietnam War and the Gulf War. He married the love of his life Nancy Jean on October 26th 1977. He retired in 1997 and moved to Jacksonville, Florida with his family. Brother Hudson was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings which he enjoyed.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday the 7th of March from 6 til 8pm at the Hardage-Giddens St. John Funeral Home located at 1285 St Johns Pkwy, St Johns, FL 32259. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday the 8th of March at 9:30am at the Hardage-Giddens St. John Funeral Home located at 1285 St Johns Pkwy, St Johns, FL 32259. Interment will follow via procession to the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
