Gregory A. Berndt, 61, of Troy, MO passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at his residence. Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Alice (nee Dillard) Berndt and his best friend, Keith Potterhoff. He is survived by his wife of almost 23 years, Brenda (nee Rousan) Berndt; his children, Amy (Scott) Stillman, Jason Berndt, Dustin (Erin) Rousan, Katie Berndt, Natalie Berndt, and Peter Built, his beloved dog; grandchildren, Clayton, Quinton, Cameron, Kyle, Courtney, Chloe, Kayla, Alexis, and Jason, Jr; his sister, Debbie Littlefield; sisters-in-law, Susan (Michael) Miller and April Childers; and mother-in-law, Norma Rousan. Dear uncle, cousin, and friend of many.
Greg was a 20-year employee of RK Stratman. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time outdoors deer hunting, fishing, or just “watching the trees grow.” He had a quirky sense of humor and was known to many as a goofball. He always started projects around the house but didn’t necessarily finish them! He liked Harley Davidson cycles, participating in football pools, drinking beer, and watching baseball games. He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure to have known him.
Visitation is on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd., St. Ann, MO 63074. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the American Heart Association. Please express condolences at www.alexanderstlouis.com.
