A private family service will be held at 11:00am on April 15, 2016 in the St. Joseph Chapel at Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
Thomas was provided constant compassionate, caring, and loving care by his caretakers Terresa, Kenya, & Vonna at Stansberry Place.
Thomas was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 24, 1924 to his parents Ray & Hortense Gonzales, where he spent his formative years.
Thomas was a Certified Flight Instrument Repair Technician while in the Army Air Corp during WWII, and worked for the Army Depot as a civilian following WWII, while becoming a Certified watch and jewelry repairman until his retirement.
Thomas spent most of his life in Sacramento, CA surrounded by his family, and always had a friendly quick smile and enjoyed talking with people until his hearing began to fail.
Thomas enjoyed his family, and assisted anyone when help was needed. He enjoyed model trains and watching his San Francisco Giants with his sister Sylvia. He also spent his time reading, watching sports on TV, golf & boxing.
Thomas always enjoyed birthdays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas with his family, and playing with his dogs.
Thomas was predeceased by Ray Jr. Gonzales, Joseph Gonzales, Irene Fasciola, & Lucielle Johns, and his best buddy Scooter.
Thomas is survived by Bessie Matin-Sacramento, CA, Gladys Leeth-Sacramento, CA, Robert Gonzales (Nevada Bob)-Minden, NV, & Sylvia Inderbitzen-Sacramento, CA and numerous nephews and nieces.
Thomas also left his best friend Rusty in the care of his sister Sylvia.
Arrangements were handled by caring, compassionate and patient staff at Nicoletti’s Funeral Home, and St. Mary’s Cemetery.
