Just about two years since Bob has passed  and it seems like yesterday. Ironically on August 21st Bob's  Scout Troop will be having another reunion in Berkeley and we will remember him, And some of us will miss him sing,, Lol, God Speed Bob

I was so fortunate be a student of Dr. Hubbel’s as an undergraduate and graduate student. I had the amazing luck of being a grad assistant as well! Dr. Hubbel was an amazing teacher and human being.I learned more from him that was carried into my career as a speech pathologist than I can thank him for! He was an amazing human being. Rest well my friend and mentor.

I met Bob during a photography workshop in the late 1990's, when I was new to photography.  He talked to me about macro shots, loaned me his macro lens, and offered other helpful advice. Unexpectedly, I found a wonderful mentor who also had a sense of humor.  I still remember how much that meant to me at the time.  Thanks Bob!

Bob was a good friend and colleague.  We studied together as students at CSUS in speech pathology.  He had a wonderful sense of humor.  He had such a sharp understanding of what children and students need and modeled it through his approach.  A music lover and guitar player he and Nancy enjoyed the jazz and classical concerts at "Sac State".  After he received his Phd at Kansas U, he returned as guest speaker for the Sacramento Speech and Hearing Association.  After time spent as a public school speech clinician and later university teacher returned to CSUS writing a book on Children's Language Disorders.  I miss him.  Milt Briggs

I was a student at CSUS fortunate enough to have been taught and supervised by Dr. Hubbell. He was a shining light to his students. He brought joy and wisdom to learning situations. He also conveyed respect and kindness to everyone--students, parents, and the children of our clinic. I will always remember his twinkling eyes, smile, and enthusiasm as he shared and listened. In so many ways he was a model of how to live your life. My deepest sympathy for your loss. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Dear Nancy . AS a fellow member of Troop  6,Berkeley,Bob and  I  Shared a fellowship  of Scouting,camaraderie,camp fire songs and TALL Tales.
We would meet every few years at our Troop 6 reunions  and  share good times with our fellow Scouts. These Scouts  who date from 1930's still show up, I will  Miss Bob and only hope that happy thoughts  will follow his memory and give you comfort..
