Paul Munoz

Paul passed away Jan. 27, 2014. He was born April 22, 1929 in Stockton, CA, the youngest of six children born to Genaro and Maria Munoz. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Leila; sons Paul II (Lisa) and Terry; grandsons Phillip Saunders (Christina) and Paul III (Patsy) and great granddaughters Elyssa and Alexis Saunders. His family was the center of his life. Paul graduated high school at the California School for the Blind in Berkley, CA. He worked for seven years at Mercy General Hospital as a Dark Room Technician. Later he received training in Food Service Operations through the Dept. of Rehabilitation Business Enterprise Program for the Blind. He was the owner/operator of cafeterias in San Francisco and Sacramento for 30 years. He retired from operating the Dept. of Education cafeteria in 1995. Paul was preceded in death by brothers Joe and Angelo, sisters Lucy Moises and Rose Padilla. He is survived by his brother Raymond and many loving nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Thur. Jan. 30 from 4-7pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Fri. Jan. 31, 2014 at 11am at All Hallows Catholic Church, 5501 14th Ave. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer Association.
