Jacque attended Houston Tillotson College, in Austin Texas. She then transferred and graduated from Temple Commercial College with a business administration degree. After graduation She worked as a medical secretary at Scott and White hospital in Temple Texas and then moved to Peoria Illinois, where she worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company until 1989. She then moved to Sacramento California, where she worked for Black Advocates in State Services (BASS) and California Department of Health where she retired.
Jacque held many titles, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother (Gammy), and great grandmother.
Jacque was married to the late Jesse Jo Johnson Sr. for 22 years and is survived by her six children; Gloria Renee Neal (Timothy) Kling, Ronald (Carolyn) Neal Jr., Christina (Jeanette) Chung, LeAnh Tang, Dr. Darlene (Kelvin) Johnson-Prasad, Parlene (Mick) Johnson Lopez, thirteen grandchildren; Jessica Suzanne Johnson, Savannah Denise Johnson, Viet Nguyen, Carissa Johnson, Esau Alexander Caldwell, Bree-anna Jennine Perez, Ronald (Trey) David Neal III, Justice David Neal, Noah Orion Lopez, Joseph Christopher Paez II, Isaiah Lopez, Camille Prasad, Gabrielle Prasad and three great grandchildren, Aiko Ann Neal, Sophia Noelle Richardson, and Kaleia Noelle Paez.
Jacque was pre-deceased by her husband Jesse Johnson Sr, daughter Sonya Denise Dilles and son Jesse Johnson Jr.
Through the years Jacque enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She often checked in on her family and friends telling everyone how proud she was of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and bragging about all their accomplishments. She loved to travel, explore, and embark on new adventures. She loved cooking/baking, sharing recipes, playing video games, bingo, going to the casino, drinking Pepsi and eating pickles. She also enjoyed watching her Forty-niners and Sacramento Kings. She was extremely proud of being a Marine wife, mom, and grandma. She often wore her pride through her attire.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the friends and family that have sent their thoughts and prayers.
Jacque will be laid to rest on May 17, 2024, at Sacramento Valley Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, California 95620 at 1:15 pm.
