Elena Isaac Alcala

Elena is survived by daughters Martha Alcala and Socorro (Coco) Alcala Briseno, of Folsom; stepson Richard Alcala, of Sacramento; and her grandchildren Adrian, Sean, Russ, Zack, and Andrew. Elena is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 25 years, Jose de Jesus Alcala Barbara, of Sacramento.

Elena was born on February 27, 1925, in Guadalajara, Mexico to Pablo and Teodomira. She graduated from Academias Nocturnas Municipales De Guadalajara in 1959. Elena married Jose de Jesus, her soulmate, in 1960. After moving to Sacramento, Elena dedicated herself to being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an active and dedicated member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church community.

A rosary will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 6:00 pm at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento. A catholic mass will occur Friday, April 8, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, 1333 58th Street, Sacramento. A burial procession will occur after mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 6700 21st Avenue, Sacramento.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Elena’s life. The family would like to thank extended family and friends for their support. The family would also like to thank the caregivers at Mercy McMahon Terrace for their love and affection in caring for Elena.
