Thanks for the announcement of Lynn's passing.  Roland, your father was my first wife's (Doris Montgomery Dyer) first cousin.  When we lived in Lansing Michigan we often visited your family in Mount Prospect as we traveled through and to O'hare Airport.  We last visited them in Sun City many years ago as we vacationed in Florida.  We stayed overnight and we went to the Electric Power Plant to see the aquatic life attracted by the warm water.  We finished off our visit to a strawberry farm for short-cake. 
 
Doris's brother Tom kept closer tabs on Roland.  Tom was also in insurance.  He was an adjuster for State farm, first in Michigan and then in Odessa, Texas.  He and his wife Joan recently moved to California to be near their Daughter and her family. 
 
I appreciated your contacting me.  Sorry I will not be in Mt Prospect on the 2nd.

Thank you so much for the note on Lynn.  She was a good friend of Wanda Stallard's and Wanda was Jack's sister.  That is how we knew her.  My daughter's and daughters-in-law stopped in at their apt one time when we were to see Wanda and Lynn was baking her famous rolls and insisted we all have one!  Oh my, but they were soooo good!

Our families have been friends for so many years...it makes the passing of Lynn so difficult for us all.  We have such fond memories of this lovely woman.  She was a dear friend to Nancy, a wonderful mother, and she even sang at Kathy's wedding (what a beautiful voice).  She will certainly be missed and we send her family all the love we can.

Janis and I were saddened to receive the letter from you, informing us of your mother's passing. We always thought of Lynn as having such a likable personality and truly a person that was fun to be around. We know she will be missed by many.

We pray that God gives courage to all that knew her and loved her.

Dear Pat, Mark, Kim and Lisa,

We were so very sad to hear of Lynn's passing before we 
could get to visit with her - and Roland for that matter -
before they left this earth to be with our Father.

Both were so very dear to me for many many reasons
that will remain in my heart as long as I live.  You all
truly had exception parents.

Lynn, a sister P. E. O., was always giving to everyone and
so kind to all of us.  Roland was in his way also giving.

We are sorry to say that we will not be able to attend in
Mt. Prospect on September 2nd but you can be sure we will
be there in spirit.

I shall especially remember Lynn's 'Freedom Breakfasts'
the first day of each school year - after all of you had left
for school.  Lynn would have breakfast for us in the neighborhood
and all the Mom's would converge on your home and spend
the first morning of 'freedom' after the summer eating and
visiting!  What fine times we had.  All the arts and craft days as
well.

Know we are praying for all of you at this time and will keep you
in our prayers, especially on the 2nd of September.

I just wanted to say thank you for letting me know about your moms passing. The last time I saw your mom she gave me a notebook of her favorite recipes, which was very special. Lynn was such a nice lady. Your parents used to come to Kanopolis and visit my mom, and she sure enjoyed their visits. I am very sorry. Know that you are in my prayers.

We were really shocked to hear Lynn had passed away and surprised to see Roland predeceased her. Roland was a first cousin to my dad Willie Webb. Roland's dad, Lee, was a brother to my grandfather, Marsh Webb. I have some wonderful memories of your folks and their talents. Few years ago your dad was admitted to the hospital here in Lincoln and your mom, Lynn, stayed with us and cooked for us. We really enjoyed her very much. Lynn was sure a wonderful, Caring person and they both had such a wonderful singing voices. I can almost hear her talent up in heaven singing in a choir. May God be with all the family at this time of loss.

I am sorry I didn't hear sooner. Your mom was a real class act. Sorry for her passing. Heaven sure got a great new angel.  God bless you all.
