She was born in Notre Dame des Bois, Quebec, Canada, the eleventh child of twelve, to Arthur and Josephine (Dube) Dupuis.
Therese attended Normal school in Sherbrooke, Canada, and taught in a one room schoolhouse in St. Leon, Quebec. In 1947, she immigrated to the state of Maine, where she worked as a waitress and at the Oxford Paper Company, until she met Florent LeBlanc. They married in 1949 and spent 60 years together.
Therese was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Daughters of Mary, and was one of the founders of the Hope Association. She volunteered at the What Not Shop for many years.
Therese was a lifelong member of St. Theresa’s Parish in Mexico.
She was a devoted housewife and mother. We love mama and miss her very much.
Surviving are her five children, Vivian and Louise LeBlanc of Parker, AZ, Francine Bernard and husband Olin of Rumford Point, sons Jean LeBlanc and wife Anne of Fort Kent, ME,and Paul LeBlanc of Bristol, RI; two brothers, Albert Dupuis of Mexico, ME and Wilfred Dupuis of Schenectady, NY; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, and her husband Florent LeBlanc, sisters Eva, Mary Anne, Olive, and brothers, Joseph, Alphonse, Ernest, Arthur, Armond and George.
