He was born in Gilead, ME on January 24, 1941 a son of the late Roy C. & Geraldine M. (Valentine) Dorey. Bob joined the US Army at seventeen and served his country for three years before being honorable discharged.
Besides his wife he is survived by two children Michael R. Dorey and his wife Lori of Buxton, ME and Donna L. Howard and her husband Patrick of Gilead. He also leaves three grandchildren Brandon Dorey and his fiancée Autumn, Corey Howard and his fiancée Julia and Becca (Howard) Vaclavicek and her husband Jonah and five great grandchildren Liam, Hudson, Davis, Easton and Cash. He also leaves one brother Maurice Dorey and his wife Gloria of Rumford Point, ME and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Lindsay, Arnold, Arlene Dorey and Ernestine
