Sarah was born in Sullivan, Indiana on October 16th, 1933 and was the child of the late Geneva Pearl (Snyder) and Floyd Willis. She graduated from Sullivan High School and continued to receive a Teaching Degree from Indiana State University.
Sarah was married to Roy V. Millsap on August 8th, 1991; they were married for 25 years.
Sarah worked as a first-grade school teacher in Indianapolis from 1955 to 1960. After which time she focused on being a loving Mother to her children Jeff and Jennifer. After moving to Atlanta she worked for Charlie Castleberry’s Appliances in Chamblee and Bartlett Systems in Dunwoody, where she met Roy through his cousin, Frank Bartlett. She enjoyed everything about life. She and Roy split their time between Roswell and the Farm in Villanow, Georgia where they raised certified Black Angus Cattle. Sarah loved to entertain friends and family and did it with such flair!
Her life interests included traveling, shopping, meeting people (Sarah never met a stranger), decorating and restoration, crafts of all kinds, entertaining, having lunch, playing bridge and talking on the phone. Yes, Sarah loved to talk!
She was actively involved in P.E.O for 50 years. P.E.O. is a Philanthropic Educational Organization for the benefit of women’s education. She loved her P.E.O. sisters across the country and hosted a bed and breakfast in their home to raise money for Chapter AW.
