Bob passed away at the age of 86 on August 13, 2016 in Cumming, Georgia. He was a loving husband, wonderful father, loyal friend and he will be missed by all. Bob was born on March 17, 1930 in Dallas Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University and served in the US Army for 4 years. After serving in the Army he joined IBM, working in Texas, Oklahoma, Connecticut, Tokyo, and Georgia for 35 years before retiring to Woodstock Georgia and then Cumming. Bob was a Master Mason for 65 years and a member of the Scottish Rite as well as a Shriner for over 50 years. He loved the mission of helping children who could not help themselves.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Peggy, two children Steven Blum and his wife Donna and Karen Davidson and her husband Dennis, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren as well as his cousin August Luedecke and his wife Sundee, along with many caring nieces and nephews and a great number of special friends.
A Visitation will be held at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076, on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Beginning at 11:00 AM there will be a one-hour visitation followed by a Celebration of Life Service in the Chapel at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076, on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. There will be a Masonic graveside service thereafter. All family and friends are encouraged to please attend and help celebrate the life of this great man.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in his name to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
